BackgroundImproving air quality and the health of Duwamish Valley residents is a top priority. Through research, community led action, and policy all focused on combating air pollution, the Duwamish Valley Clean Air Program strives to reduce a wide range of health impacts and reduce rates of childhood asthma (the program indicator) by action on specific activities in 4 strategies areas following firm accountability measures. Over the past year, throughout a global pandemic, the Duwamish Valley Clean Air Program successfully moved through a Results Based Accountability Process to identify high priority strategies and actions to act on air pollution in the Duwamish Valley. This process included abundant opportunities for community involvement, feedback, consultation and engagement. Overall, the action plan describes high level priorities for the Duwamish Valley Clean Air Program key participants.
